Jeff Pearson is Crown counsel for the Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office – Criminal Division in Toronto. He is the embedded advisory Crown at the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET) and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU). He is a provincial wiretap agent and designated counsel to give advice to law enforcement on the lawful justification provisions of the Criminal Code. He is a frequent lecturer on these subjects and is co-author of Criminal Procedure: Canadian Law and Practice, 2nd addition, published by LexisNexis. Jeff received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall in 2003 and was called to the Bar in 2004.
