Elizabeth McIntyre practices civil and administrative law as a senior member of Cavalluzzo Shilton McIntyre & Cornish. Her particular expertise is in labour and employment law, human rights, occupational health and safety, and health care. Selected by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a recipient of the Law Society Medal, Ms. McIntyre has been counsel in numerous precedent-setting cases, notably for Orillia soldiers dealing with compensation-related disability discrimination. She was counsel for LEAF (Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund) before the Supreme Court of Canada in the K.M. case relating to the application of limitation periods to victims of sexual assault. LEAF recently honoured Ms. McItyre as one of 15 women lawyers who have made difference for women and girls in Canada. She completed her legal studies at the University of Toronto and is a member of the Ontario Bar.
