Session Overview

Participants will gain vital, practical communication skills to put to effective use in their practice working with the large segment of the public that has experienced psychosocial trauma.

Lorne Waldman and Matt Eisenbrandt address the issues they face as practitioners who work with clients who were victims of grave harm in their home country and continue to suffer the psychological effects here in Canada. They reflects on the challenges of working with immigrants and refugees who experienced psychosocial trauma and offer helpful guidance. This live webinar complements the core series of webinars (3 hours) that introduces the topic of PTSD, explains how secondary trauma affects legal professionals, and outlines interviewing techniques and tips on preparing clients who have suffered such trauma for court. You can register for these three webinars separately.

*NOTE: If you are unable to attend or miss a live webinar, your registration provides you access to a recording of the webinar and all materials provided in that webinar.
