Session Overview

Another new addition to our series on Trauma in the Legal Profession, this time concentrating on the way to work with clients who have suffered from sexual assault or domestic violence.

Simona Jellinek (Jellinek Law) delves deeply into the many steps of receiving such a case. Discussing the collecting of evidence, framing of the case, the discovery process, mediation, pre-trial and trial preparation, Simona provides an exemplary breadth of information for lawyers handling and working with these types of clients. This nearly 2 hour webinar also has a complete overview of the trauma facing survivors, typical cases, how to work with survivors, developing and using appropriate office policies, law society guidelines and measures of self-care for lawyers who may experience secondary trauma.

Length: 1 hour and 50 minutes.
