Michael Doucet was appointed on December 28, 2012 to the position of Executive Director of the Security Intelligence Review Committee (SIRC).
Mr. Doucet joined SIRC from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police where he held the positions of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to joining the RCMP in April 2010, Mr. Doucet occupied the position of CIO/ Director General of the Information Management Services Branch at Correctional Service Canada for over two years. Mr. Doucet has also worked with the Communications Security Establishment of Canada (CSEC) as the CSEC’s Senior Liaison Officer to the National Security Agency as well as working with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Mr. Doucet began his federal career with CSEC in 1988.
Mr. Doucet received his MBA from the University of Ottawa in February of 2000, with specialization in strategic change, compensation and information technology management. Since graduating, he has been an active session lecturer on Strategic Information Technology Management and Organization Behaviour at the University of Ottawa’s School of Management. Mr. Doucet is currently enrolled in a Master of Arts Degree Program in Political Sciences at the University of Ottawa.
Mr. Doucet has a strong knowledge of Information Management, Information Technology, Security Intelligence and Emergency Management within the Government of Canada.
