Carter, Terrance

As the Managing Partner of Carters, Terrance Carter, B.A., LL.B, TEP, Trade-mark Agent, practices in the areas of charity and not-for-profit law and is counsel to Fasken Martineau LLP on charitable matters. He is a past member of the Technical Issues Group of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Charities Directorate, Past Chair of the Charities and Not-for-Profit Sections of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and Ontario Bar Association (OBA), and past co-chair of the CBA National Charity Law Symposium.

Recognized as a leading expert by Lexpert and The Best Lawyers in Canada, Mr. Carter is co-author of Corporate and Practice Manual for Charitable and Not-for-Profit Corporations to be published by Carswell in 2013, co-editor of Charities Legislation and Commentary (LexisNexis Butterworths, 2013), and editor of charitylaw.ca, churchlaw.ca and antiterrorismlaw.ca.
